Autism Support Groups in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Pittsburgh and western Pennsylvania have a longstanding support ecosystem.

Autism Connection of Pennsylvania — historically known as Autism-Pittsburgh — has served the local autism community since the 1960s, providing support, information, and advocacy for individuals with autism and their families across the region.

ASERT — Pennsylvania's statewide autism resource network, funded by the Bureau of Autism Services — maintains a searchable directory of support groups across the state at PAAutism.org, plus a toll-free line (1-877-231-4244). This is one of the best ways to find a current, local group.

Allegheny County resources — the county's Department of Human Services and its Allegheny Connect resource guide list intellectual-disability and autism supports by age, which can point families toward groups and services.
