Autism Resources in Nebraska
A statewide guide to autism services across Nebraska — for families in Omaha, Lincoln, Grand Island, Kearney, and communities across the state.
Nebraska's autism services system has a strong academic anchor — the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) in Omaha is the state's leading center for autism diagnosis, early intervention, and related care. Nebraska also has a well-defined early intervention system (the Early Development Network), a school-based support structure (the ASD Network), and a Medicaid program that covers ABA. Like every state, Nebraska has real gaps — provider capacity thins out west of the Omaha–Lincoln corridor, and Medicaid ABA reimbursement rates were cut significantly in 2025, which some families and providers worry could affect access.
This page walks through how the pieces fit together and where the gaps are.
