Sugar Sand Park — Children's Science Explorium

Park & science explorium · sensory-friendly Saturdays

Owned by the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District and operated by the City's Recreation Services. The Children's Science Explorium runs Sensory-Friendly Saturdays on the first Saturday of every month, 9:00–10:00am (ages 5+), in a sensory-modified setting with sound and lighting adjustments, plus sensory kits — noise-reduction headphones, feelings and emotions cards, light-reduction glasses and fidget toys — for checkout at the welcome desk.

Trained and designated by FAU CARD for sensory-considerate experiences. Sensory kits are available for checkout at the Visitor Experience Desk, and the Ohnell Sculpture Garden offers a calm, less-crowded spot for breaks. No regularly scheduled sensory-friendly events — check the calendar.
