Cleveland is fortunate to have Milestones Autism Resources, a local nonprofit with a free helpdesk and an annual conference, alongside the Autism Society of Greater Cleveland, statewide organizations, and informal parent networks. Milestones Autism Resources

Cleveland-based autism nonprofit and free helpdesk

Founded in 2003 by two Cleveland parents who met in a speech therapist's waiting room, Milestones runs a free Helpdesk that connects families to therapists, assessments, funding and support groups, plus a resource directory focused on Ohio. The Helpdesk is not a crisis line.

Autism Society of Greater Cleveland

Local Autism Society affiliate

The regional affiliate of the Autism Society, offering information, support coordination and community programming from diagnosis through adulthood. Activities have included community outings, dinners and dances, and a learn-to-bike program. Ask what meets regularly versus what runs as one-off events.

Connecting for Kids

Parent support and education nonprofit

Regional — Westlake-based nonprofit running free programs across Cuyahoga and Lorain counties, including Share & Support groups, a speaker series, workshops and parent-child playgroups. Serves families concerned about autism, ADHD, anxiety and developmental delays, and a diagnosis is not required to attend.
