Autism Resources in Round Rock, Texas
Round Rock sits in the Austin metro, but it is not just an Austin bedroom suburb. This is an independent city of roughly 145,000 people in Williamson County with its own two hospitals, its own large school district, and — unusually — a nationally recognized inclusive park that families from across Central Texas drive into Round Rock to use. If your child has just been diagnosed, or you are still waiting on an evaluation, this page lays out what the autism support landscape actually looks like here: where the clinics are, what the schools offer, and where the honest gaps are.
We have tried to be straight about the weak spots. Round Rock has a genuinely deep bench of ABA, speech, and occupational therapy providers, plus a city-run adaptive summer camp and one of the best inclusive playgrounds in the state. It is thinner on dedicated developmental-behavioral pediatricians and on standalone local support-group nonprofits — for some of that, families do end up looking toward Austin and Dell Children's. We flag those cases as they come up rather than papering over them.
