Florida has more water per square mile than almost anywhere a family could live, and for an autistic child that makes swim lessons a safety intervention first and an activity second. Orlando's adaptive programs are real, and — unusually — some of them can be paid for with a scholarship you may already have.
Certified adaptive swim instructors teaching one-to-one for swimmers with diverse abilities, with water safety at the centre. The Oviedo branch received a $50,000 grant in July 2026 to expand adaptive instruction.
