Adaptive Swim Lessons
Swimming is not just fun - for autistic kids it is a safety skill. Drowning is one of the leading causes of injury-related death among autistic children, partly because many are drawn to water and may not recognize the danger. Adaptive swim lessons meet a child where they are: usually one-on-one or small-group, often in warm water, with instructors trained to teach at the child's pace, use visual supports, and build comfort before technique. The goal is water competence and safety first, strokes second.
