Ohio has the most generous autism-specific school funding in the country, and it does not even require an IEP. The Autism Scholarship Program is open to any child with a clinical autism diagnosis - if you do not have an IEP, your district can write an Autism Education Plan instead. Akron families who do not know this are leaving very large sums unclaimed.
