Raising Brilliance

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the therapy most often recommended after an autism diagnosis in Georgia — and it's also the one families tend to have the most questions about. Approaches vary a lot from provider to provider, and what works for one child may not fit another.

In the Augusta area, availability is reasonable for a mid-size city, but cost and waitlists are usually the bigger hurdles. The CSRA has several center-based and in-home providers, and demand is high, so intake waits of a few months are common.

This page walks through how ABA is typically funded here and how to start the search — including insurance under Ava's Law, Georgia Medicaid, and the Katie Beckett pathway that many families find is the key door.
