Autism resources in Lansing: a starting point for families

If your child was recently diagnosed, or you are still waiting on an evaluation, the Lansing area has more autism services than families sometimes expect for a mid-sized capital city — anchored by Michigan State University, a regional hospital system, and the community mental health agency that runs the Medicaid side of things. We wrote this as a starting point, not the last word. Michigan has one of the stronger Medicaid autism benefits in the country, and knowing how the pieces connect in Ingham County up front saves a lot of early frustration.
