Autism Summer Camps in Portland, Maine

Portland and southern Maine, being the state's population center, have the widest range of camp and summer program options, including inclusive mainstream camps and specialized programs. Larger service organizations in the area — Spurwink among them — and disability-focused providers sometimes run or can point you to summer offerings. Your child's school team and CDS coordinator often know which local programs have worked for other autistic kids.

We want to set honest expectations. Specialized autism-specific camps are limited in number, spots fill early (often winter or early spring for the following summer), and cost varies widely; some may be partially covered by MaineCare or other funding for eligible children, but many are private-pay.
