Autism Summer Camps in Portland, Maine

Summer can be a real challenge when the school-year routine disappears. The right summer program gives your child structure, fun, and connection — and gives you some breathing room — but finding one that truly fits an autistic child takes some homework.

Options range from dedicated special-needs camps to inclusive mainstream camps that welcome and accommodate autistic campers. The best fit depends on your child's support needs, sensory profile, and interests.

This page covers what to look for, how to vet a camp, and where to ask in the Portland area — with an honest note that good spots fill early.
